8th fish widescreen only
Can you tell that when I get bored, I monkey with my aquariums?
I just upgraded to 2.6 (pretty fishies!). When I first got my Mac, I used it with a 19" Viewsonic LCD, then a 20" Cinema Display, and now a 23" Cinema Display. I have NEVER been able to get the 8th fish, and I'm pretty sure both Cinema Displays count as 'widescreen'. How does MA tell whether your display is a widescreen or not? Is there a preference or a setting I should be flipping? Thanks bunches! |

You are so going to slap yourself on the forehead and say, "Doh!"
Go into the settings panel and under the first tab there is a checkbox setting for using Widescreen or not. Go, check, enjoy!

Sorry Mark. That isn't how it works on Mac, which determines based on the screen aspect ratio how many fish to show. The problem is that people don't count the number of fish that they can choose. You can always select 8 different fish. If you have a widescreen tank then you get 8 of them, if a 4:3 tank then you get the first 7 of them.
If you want to count, switch to wireframe mode and count the fish behind the tank elements, or simply assign a specific fish to be the last spot and then look for it.

Still worthy of a D'OH! I think. Thanks so much for the help. I can't believe how good you are at responding and helping out Aquarium fans. It is much appreciated. |
