XP Pro CD won't install
Hi, I'm running XP Pro SP1 on a Dell Dim2400. It's a pretty punchy machine. I've disabled Norton and the CD will not install. I've rebooted several times - do not find any residues of Installshield in the registry, but it still won't install. It gets to the ACCEPT point for the license and then hangs after that. I noted another post from someone here - but their problem was on the Apple OS. I wonder if there is a batch of bad CD's out in distribution. I purchased mine at Sam's. It did not ask for a keycode - which I understand is correct if it's a purchased CD.

You're having trouble installing XP Pro?
