Aspect Ratios and Resolutions?

I'm trying to get my fish and text to look normal. Can someone please tell me what resolutions below is proper (Native Mode) for 4.3 and 16.9 Aspect Ratios?

1280x720
1280x768
1280x800
1280x1024

Thank you.

  • 1280 x 720 is 16:9 widescreen.
  • 1280 x 768 is the closest common VGA resolution (15:9).
  • 1280 x 800 is not a resolution I'm familiar with.
  • 1280 x 1024 is 5:4 and the most common resolution for 18" LCD monitors. It's also a strange resolution since it is more square than 4:3.

1280x800 is 16:10 and is very common in laptops.
I don't watch commercials.

Try this:
Evidently you like 1280 X something. If you wanted a 16:9 resolution just divide 16 by 9 and you get 1.77778. Then divide 1280 by 1.77778 which is 719.999. Round it off to 720 and hey presto! 1280x720 is a 16:9 resolution!

I don't think you'll find as much information here in this forum as on a site specificallly about the subject. Try this one.
