Question about the new background
Hello,
I have a questions about the new background. Is the background that is currently in place the actual background that will be animated? Or is this a placeholder of sorts that will be replaced by the animated objects one by one? I also seem to be remember reading somewhere that there would be animated clams in the new tank. Is this something that is still planned? So far I am having no issues at all with the tank and I look forward to seeing it evolve into it's finished product! Thanks. |

This is the actual background that will remain. Each object that you see there was created one at a time by Jim in true 3D. Once the Beta goes out to the public, Jim will take each object and create movement for them, just like the 3D fish are animated.
Clams are already in the tank near the center, they just aren't able to move yet, but they will.

The anemone on the far right, for example, is a 'framegrab' of one frame of animation.

The objects in the tank will be animated. The 3 blue clams at the front of the tank will open and close.

The fan does not have a perminant background as I can see the fish swimming behind it!
