'About' and 'Help'
Greetings,
Just new to this forum and just installed the SereneScreen Aquarium. I have Windows XP. I've read through the posts and am wondering if it is just me, or if the following problems are still occurring for other folks: The 'About' and 'Help' boxes on the Configure Screen of the ScreenSaver do nothing when I click on them. The Configure Screen disappears, and I am returned to my desktop. I love the SS and Aquarium, though. My friends say it looks like I have a real aquarium on my desk. Thanks for this great program. They don't work when you are in the Display control panel.
They do work when the Aquarium is actually running.

Thanks for your quick response. Sorry to be so dense, but when Aquarium is actually running, if I move the mouse, or try to 'right click' Aquarium stops running. I guess I'm confused about how to see either 'About' or 'Help' when Aquarium is running.
This is not crucial by any means, but I'm the kind of person who likes to know how everything works. Thanks again for your speedy response, Vincent Theel |

Hit the spacebar and the option menu should come up.
Bat rays? We don't need no stinking bat rays!

Press the SPACE bar to bring up Settings.
I'd still like to see the Aquarium would come with a Help file with snapshots and graphics. Very few people know about pressing SPACE or A or any of the other keys. I think the aquarium should display a message at the bottom of the screen "Press SPACE to open Settings" that stays there until you do it for the first time. I still hope for one day when "Exit on Mouse Move" is disabled by default. Then if a bunch of mouse movement is detected, display a message at the bottom "Press SPACE to open Settings or ESC to Exit the Aquarium". There were hundreds (if not thousands) of people with .99 versions who genuinely thought there were only 7 fish cause they didn't know how to bring up the Settings window and the fish were not defaulted to <RANDOM>. That particular issue was resolved in 1.0.

Wow, you guys are great!! Thanks for the efficient and timely help, support, and diplomatic way of presenting the information so that I didn't feel dumb for submitting the question.
I am looking forward to future versions of the Aquarium, and am immensly enjoying the one I have now. Vincent Theel |
