Goldfish 0.9.4 is available (no huge changes)
In order to provide the best user experience we can, we've released a minor update to deal with some issues which have shown up. After all, that is the point of a beta, right?
1. FEATURE CHANGE: on the tank tab, selecting a tank in the list box changes the tank in the pop up menu 2. BUG FIX: non-functional controls on the advanced tab are now disabled 3. BUG FIX: "TESTFISH" is removed from the gray screen message, and "LifeGlobe" appears now 4. FEATURE CHANGE: in unregistered mode, the screen saver now functions in a limited fashion besides through the "test" button in system preferences, screen effects Most important -- added a Read Me file. I don't expect that item 1 will answer all of the people who don't understand the way the tank prefs work, but it could be done and QA'd quickly. I'd like a solution better than the "Apply to all" button, and I'll probably think about that a lot today. I'm open to input on this. I considered a table which shows the prefs settings for each tank, as iTunes does, but I don't think I can make them fit in a single row...

How to create more forum acivity
So things have settled down after the release of 0.9.4 of GA.
That means just one thing! It's time for an announcement about GA's product roadmap and release schedule. That will stimulate dicussion

0.9.5 will have fixed bubbles that don't turn into squares after many minutes of running, and it will allow you to re-order the tanks in the tank list so that they cycle in the order you want them to (this got broken in 0.9.3 at the last minute).
There PROBABLY will be a nice surprise in 0.9.5, which I'll keep you in suspense for a little longer.

Come on guys, -
Why are all these 'Goldfish Aquarium for Mac' threads not in the Mac section, and with a blue background? - Wasn't that the point of having a different (blue) background? |

Because I decided it would be confusing to have 1 Mac forum for SereneScreen Marine Aquarium and LifeGlobe Goldfish Aquarium. It would be even more confusing as more products are added on both sides of the fence. Once there is more than 1 Mac product from Prolific/LifeGlobe, I will rename this forum.
I have changed the style to blue. Keep in mind that I ALWAYS view the entire forum in Blue. I much prefer it.

Morgan, How did you do that to see it all in blue? I mean can anyone set it to be blue or is it just you because it's your baby?
Just asking.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Thanks to Morgan, Tiny Snapshots is up and running again with "Tiny Järvafält" as the latest addition – Go have a look and tell me what you think.
"We knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed, a few people cried, most people were silent. I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita. Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says, 'Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.' I suppose we all thought that, one way or another." /Robert Oppenheimer on witnessing the first thermonuclear detonation in history. |
