Incompatibility with AOL
If I am running AOL 9.1 and try and turn on the beta, my screen goes black and the computer freezes up. If I turn AOL off, it works fine.

Hmm. I don't run AOL (haven't since 1996) so cannot think of anything that might resolve the issue. I'm guessing there is some functionality or feature that AOL offers that you can't live without?

Oh yes - and sleeping with Talktalk! Bad news all round!
My father tried to sign up his business line with AOL broadband in early August and didn't seem too impressed when I dropped my head into my hands on receiving the news - and then he found out why. As the two day setup he was promised turned into weeks, then months, he finally gave in to the inevitable and told them not to bother!

Soc,
I agree. WONeal, If that's your only choice it might be better than doing without, but only barely. As for the rest, with everything AOL installs with their stuff there is no telling what the conflict might be. I wish we had better news, but like the others I wouldn't touch AOL with a 10 foot pole so I really have no idea where to start with that one.
