MA3 as aquarium backdrop -- photo inside
I was goofing around with a computer and a small new fish tank at about the same time, and it occurred to me to put the LCD panel behind the real tank, and run MA3 on it.
Here's the result... http://img515.yfrog.com/i/p8160377.jpg/ |

I'm sure that the real fish you'll put in the tank, will end up with psychological problems seeing the digital version near them (that doesn't need feeding and they don't stop moving at any time...)

It's a cute idea. It would be great if the real tank was saltwater.

Agreed! If someone were to make a permanent set up, I'm sure they'd put effort into blending the foreground with the background in both look and species.
It would also be important that the tank be at eye-level, given the limited viewing angle of LCD panels. MA3 certainly is more vibrant (colors, light effects, plus fish activity) than any static backdrop could hope to be... A simpler idea could be to put a narrow tank in front of the screen with just a bubble bar and a few plants (no real fish). Maybe I'll suggest that to the sushi restaurant in which I saw MA2.6 displayed a few years ago... |
