Jim Sachs is still an Amiga God!
I was in Radio Shack buying a doodad for my phone and one of the computers happened to have the SereneScreen fish tank. My first reaction was, "What the &%$# is that?!" It was the most amazing thing I had ever seen. I thought it must be a film looping or something since it looked too realistic, but the sales guy said it wasn't.
So I came home and did a Google search for "fish tank screen saver" which brought me here. Second surprise: one time Amiga graphics genius Jim Sachs created it! Wow, did that ever make sense. He was the best at graphics back then and he's still the best. I still remember his amazing C64 game (never completed) called Time Crystal from 1985. People could not believe the old C64 could do graphics like that. Wins the prize for biggest dissapointment to C64 users (for never being completed). Still, it's a classic even though it was never done. Here's to you Jim! |

Hi, Kinergy -
It's good to hear from someone who remembers the old days.
