duplicate listing in screensaver settings
After formatting my hard drive and reinstalling MA3 twice, I noticed that I have a duplicate listing of SereneScreen Marine Aquarium 3 in screensaver settings.
PSereneScreen Marine Aquarium 3 (corrupt one) SereneScreen Marine Aquarium 3 I looked in the Windows/System32 folder for the orphaned file(s) from a previous MA3 installation, but couldn't find it to manually remove it/them. I also used the Sachsremove registry utility, but that didn't work. What files do I look for and where? Thanks. |

Is your system 32 or 64 bit?

Windows 7 64-bit. Should I just remove the files and leave the current installation or should I uninstall and reinstall after removing the offending files?
Sorry about not listing my system, I think I took it for granted that a lot of people probably have 64-bit systems by now. |

64-bit computers put two copies of the Aquarium on the machine. One is in System32, and the other is in SYSWOW64. Try deleting both those.

Take a look at this thread from 2009:
https://www.feldoncentral.com/forums...t=4726&page=12 Installers are not my thing at all, but it sounds like that "Pserenescreen" file might be the result of the 64-bit version of Windows not having been completely installed, and creating some kind of conflict with our earlier installer. Did you download a recent version of Marine Aquarium, or are you installing using an older version? Are you doing an Uninstall, or just deleting files?

Problem solved
B. For Mark Knight - to get rid of the PSereneScreen entry in the Screen Saver list, it's only necessary to right-click the desktop icon, and then select "Install" in the drop-down list. Presto - PSereneScreen disappears from the list.
Following Dale's advice did the trick, the PsereneScreen listing is gone. Thanks Jim for the link to that thread with Dale's advice on solving my problem. I'm looking forward to your next update. -Teddy |
