question?

Hello,

I will be re-formating my computer soon. It's come to that point that it really needs a fresh start. I know I can save all my programs that I need to save before I re-format. I will be saving them to a cd. My ? is do I need to do anything special to save all my aquarium screensavers? I have the first one aquarium I have the aquarium 2 and the Mat....After I get my computer back up I don't want to not have my lovely serenescreen savers. Thanks

Donna

Sounds drastic. I will trust that you know what you are doing.

You could always just download them from serenescreen and put them on CD. Install them after you have reformatted. Do you have the original file you downloaded for verion 1.1?

My computer seemed to run slower, so I uninstalled all the software I don't use, ran adaware, and ran a registry cleaner:

It is much faster now.

Hi Racer
I have re-formated before but it's been a while. I have been getting a lot of illegal operations and the blue screen of death. When I start seeing those it's time for a fresh start. I will try what you mentioned and see if it improves anything. The thing I was worried about was not having my origianl key code for version 1.1. I didn't know if the key codes change for each version. Thanks

To save your keycodes...

Start menu -> Run... -> "regedit"

Pull down the Registry menu to Export Registry File.

Choose Selected branch at the bottom and type:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SereneScreen

That should give you a backup of your keycodes for Marine Aquarium 1.1, 2.0, MAT, etc. but not any 99x versions.
