These rules are effective for all members starting July 4th, 2010.

Introduction

Welcome to the fan site and forums for SereneScreen Marine Aquarium plus the LifeGlobe series of screen savers (Goldfish, Sharks, and Flags) published by Prolific Publishing. We offer unofficial tech support, and a place to make suggestions, and general chit-chat with other likeminded individuals.

Registration

Registration to this forum will allow you to ask questions of other customers, as well as the authors and publisher of SereneScreen and LifeGlobe products. It is not necessary to Register on our site in order to read the product support and feedback areas of this forum.

You must provide a REAL e-mail address!! You are required to provide a valid e-mail address when registering on this forum. Accounts created using invalid e-mail addresses, or matching known spammers will have their accounts deleted. Registration of multiple accounts is not permitted and all offending accounts will be deleted.

Your account at Inside: SereneScreen is not associated with any customer information at SereneScreen.com. If you have a sales question, please contact them. If you have a technical support question, please post it and we'll do everything in our power to diagnose and solve the problem for you!

Privacy Policy

We respect the privacy of our visitors and registered members. Your personal information is stored in a password-protected database and we will make every reasonable effort to keep this information out of the hands of third parties.

We will never sell or share your e-mail address with third parties with the following exception: We may provide your e-mail address to SereneScreen or Prolific Publishing to provide you with announcements about future screen savers and related products. Please review the strict Prolific.com privacy policy that protects your rights.

Otherwise, we will not at any time disclose your privacy details (unless warranted by a court order), including if this web site may be sold and falls under new ownership.

Spam/Advertising

All new members of our forum will have their first post(s) reviewed by a Forum Administrator. Only after your first post has been approved will you be allowed to post freely on our forum. This policy is a necessity to stave off the hundreds of spam postings seen on other less regulated forums. This approval process may take 1-2 days.

Advertising via unsolicited Private Messages or e-mails using our Forum will result in the immediate removal of your membership from this site.

New members may not post commercial or advertising links of any type in their Signature, posts, or other messaging areas of our forum. Please stay on topic. If you want to start a discussion about another topic, please use the "New Thread" button. And if you are going to post something, please look around a bit to see if there is a topic related to your question.

Please be descriptive when creating new threads or raising technical support issues. (Instead of starting a start a thread titled "Question", instead try "Question about the Widescreen Version" or "Starfish issues")

Please wait a reasonable amount of time before bumping posts.

Product Forum Special Rules

The "SereneScreen Products" and "Prolific/LifeGlobe Products" are available to customers of Marine Aquarium, Goldfish Aquarium, Sharks, and FlagPride products to ask Customer Service or Technical Support questions.

We expect other users to make every effort to answer such posts in a courteous and helpful tone. If you do not feel comfortable answering a Customer Service or Technical Support question, please leave this responsibility to other users.

Signatures

Signatures are the brief messages at the bottom of each of your posts to this forum. It may be a famous (or infamous) quote, a list of your computer specs, etc.

On a case-by-case basis, you may also include one small photo in your signature. If it is judged to be too large/distracting, it will be removed. Please do not attach pictures of your computer, cars, other belongings in your Signature.

For text signatures: 4 lines normal size (size 2), 8 lines small size (size 1) and up to 90 chars per line. Empty lines are also counted! Larger font sizes (2-7) are not allowed. You may not use distracting color schemes (ask if you aren't sure!).

Avatars

You may select an avatar to represent yourself on our forums, up to 100 x 100 pixels. This image may be animated and up to 25KB in size. Sexually explicit or otherwise offensive avatars will be removed.

Issue Resolution
