Goldfish Aquarium in PC mag
Goldfish Aquarium has a small review in PC magazine this month.
They give it a high rating. |

That was my first response. Why is Encore, the distributor for Prolific's and SereneScreen's products, getting all the attention?
That's like crediting Wal-Mart for the success or failure of the Sony Playstation 2 or Microsoft XBox.

I did not understand why they gave credit to Encore either.

We sell only the electronic version of our products.
We have another company, Encore (www.EncoreUSA.com) do physical sales. Physical sales are a nightmare, and require a strong distribution network, lots of back alley hand shake deals, and other schmoozing and parties that no one at Prolific has an interest in being part of. As a matter of fact, physical sales really make us very little money. The day will come when physical products of software no longer exist, it will be interesting. Never-the-less, the Encore crew works hard to get the product into every physical store they can. They are also are owned by a very large distributor, and probably got the product to the PC mag.

Well thats good and all, but it still sounds like doing an auto review and giving credit to the owner of the car instead of the manufacturer. It sorta misses the point.

The main point being that their website does not link to yours AND contains so little information about the product.

Talking about physical sales, etc. It still kills me that there is softwar that I have to get up off my fat butt and get to the store before they close to buy unless I want to wait a week for shipping.
I'd buy all my software online if I could.
Bat rays? We don't need no stinking bat rays!
