Can only get random fish
I bought Version 2 at Fry's several months ago and it has worked fine. I uninstalled it for a while and now when I reinstalled it, I can only get random fish . When I try to change to different fish, it will not work. When I click on the icon on the desktop, the screen just flashes and nothing happens.
I need some help, please. |

Are you pressing SPACE to bring up the Settings panel?
You can reset all of the settings with: https://www.feldoncentral.com/Sachs/sachsremove.reg

I can get the settings panel and set the options. Then I go to the fish option and designate certain fish and click OK. Then when I click on the desktop icon, all it does is flash black for a second. If I leave the fish chooses as "random" and click the icon, the aquarium works just fine. I can't figure what I'm doing wrong.

Are you using an operating system which requires permission to make entries in the Registry, and if so, do you have that permission?

I'm using Windows 2000 Pro and I have the disc for Version 2.0.
I have no idea what Video card I have. It came with the computer. I think the version of Direct X is 0x800. I'm kind of new to some of this. If I knew where to look I could tell you more. |

I am listed as the administrator. so I can make entries in the registry, but I've never tried messing with anything in it. I have Windows 2000 Pro. If you guide me through the operation, I can probably do it.
My answer to Edgar is in a new thread. I hit it instead of reply. |

Well, I got it to work. I moved one fish at a time and clicked OK. Then checked to see if the aquarium would work. I got all 7 fish moved. I could move any fish I chose except the lion fish. If I tried to move it and clicked on the icon, all it would do is flash black for a second.
Goodnight for now. |

Click "Start" then "Run" type "dxdiag" (without the quotes) and hit "ok"
Write down all the info you see on the system and display tabs and post it here.

Now all you need is to update to the newest version online.

Is there a newer version online than Version 2.0? My driver is a TNT2 M64 AGP. Do I need the upgrade mentioned on your site in order to get the lionfish on my screen?

Joanne - While they are both technically 2.0, the version online has been updated several times since the CD came out.

What is different from my CD Version 2 that I bought at Fry's and the one online other than the clock? Also is there a charge for the upgrade?

Never heard of bug fixes and improvements? The one at SereneScreen.com has several fixes over what's on the CD.
other than the clock?
That's a different product.

Nope.Just download the Aquarium 2.0 again and make sure your Aquarium CD is in the CD-ROM drive and you should be able to install it.
