I haven't heard of this happening before. What kind of system do you have?

I have windows 98.

The cursor arrow always appears at the same angle in the middle of the screen. If I move my mouse slightly the arrow disappears.

It doesn’t matter if I have exit the screen saver on Mouse or by the Escape Key.

I used to have the same problem back when I used Win98. Unfortunately I don't remember how I git rid of the problem. First thing I would look for is whether or not you're using "Comet Cursor" or some other third party cursor utility, and remove it. (Comet cursor is a Spyware trap anyway). Right off the top of my head that's all I can think of.

What type of video card are you using?

It seems to be an undesirable effect of using "snap to" in the mouse settings. Where your mouse goes to the "logical" box. Remove that feature and see if it still happens.

The "snap to" was not enabled under mouse settings.

I do not know exactly what video card I have since gateway replaced it 2 years ago.

Right now the screen saver does not show the mouse pointer. The problem comes and goes.
