Finding Nemo
My six year old daughter immediatly recognized Marlin, Nemo and Dory in Aquarium 2.0! Marlin and Nemo are Percula Clownfish and Dori is a Regal Tang.

Perhaps Jim or someone else should develop a Finding Nemo version of the MA? Maybe include a Nemo version hidden within the MA as an alternate mode, perhaps as an easter egg? Yeah, like Jim or Prolific has the time to do that. Oh well, it was a nice idea while it lasted.

I gave my opinion about this in the other thread about Finding Nemo. Namely I think Prolific should have been all over this one, but on the same note, kids would get upset that the fish don't talk.

So make the fish talk! Unless it would prove to be rather difficult to get the rights to use them of course.

I really would have thought that Prolific would have tried to be the official licensee on this... since they have the experience and the engine...
Am I wrong to think that all it would have taken is a background to match the Dentist's tank and some textures/models... Doing a cartoon version for entertainment/profit isn't really the sme as defiling the original artwork, at least to me, but of course I doidn't do the work.

That would entail being on speaking terms with Disney.

Yeah, and I'm willing to bet it's not going to be anything like we would hope. It's probably going to be a slideshow or something akin to that. Then again, who knows.

Originally posted by Jim Sachs Ah, but we've been thru this. Talk to Pixar, not Disney.

Ah, but at some point I would be face to face with a Disney exec, and the guns and knives would have to come out. Very messy.

Of ending the lives of a few Disney execs? I agree.
The contract with Pixar would have to speculate that you NEVER have to deal with Disney.

The reviewer for the Austin American-Statesman suggested that Finding Nemo is the backstory of a certain "ubiqitous aquarium screensaver".
