What brings you back to the forum?
I almost posted this poll about 4 months ago but I'd like to post it now.
When I started this forum, I thought it would be mostly technically-minded people eking out the best they can from the Aquarium, including creating their own fish, maybe other 2D and 3D artists posting stuff, and also off-topic discussion. Instead, we have a diverse community of fans of the Aquarium who have a lot of different topics they like to discuss, many of whom have known Jim's work for much longer than I have and who won't touch any kind of 3rd party add-on to the Aquarium. The respect for Jim's work is amazing and informative. So what brings you back to the forum? What would you like to see in the future to spark more discussions?

Brings me back? – I never leave this place...
/Tiny Life Thanks to Morgan, Tiny Snapshots is up and running again with "Tiny Järvafält" as the latest addition – Go have a look and tell me what you think.
"We knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed, a few people cried, most people were silent. I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita. Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says, 'Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.' I suppose we all thought that, one way or another." /Robert Oppenheimer on witnessing the first thermonuclear detonation in history. |

Panthera,
Of course, you can! You may pick as many as apply to your reason(s) for visiting this forum. It was just my way of (sarcastically) letting Morgan know that all of the above are reasons for my visiting here (forum) as well as some others that are unfortunately not mentioned. I think what keeps bringing me back (on a daily basis) to this forum is the people who belong to it & the quality that the Administrator/Moderator put into it (Thanks, Morgan & Michael ) I, also would like to thank Jim Sachs, Reichart & all the people at Prolific for their participation in this forum. |

I voted for all the above, and there are many more reasons too. Mostly, it's about the people here, all of whom seem very nice.

I really enjoy having my morning coffee with you guys. I belong to a couple of other forums, but this one is by far the best. This is partially due to the fact that the people here are all helpful, friendly and open. People actually show their faces here. The forum is also very well managed, and the website is well organized and easy to use. The Coffee House has made waiting for program updates much easier, and I've learned some technical stuff too. Keep up the good work guys!

Thanks for all the glowing comments. I know that Morgan appreciates them, and I do also. We both try hard to make everything here helpful and generally informative and fun for everyone. It's nice every once in awhile to know where we stand and how we are doing. If you have any suggestions you are always welcome to post them or send me a email.

Like some others, it feels like I almost live here at times. It all started by chance when I first found a reference to a screen saver that 'Had to be seen to be believed' ...... as they say, the rest is history!
I think it would be nice to have subjects grouped together more, - say:- General Chatty Stuff Photography Movie and DVD/Video Computer Software Computer Hardware Games Website Building Cool Web Links These could be sub-sections of the Coffee House. I won't ask for more specialised things like Dwarf Conifers, Horses, Hi-Fi, Classic Stereo Recordings, etc. (...or you might think I'm a nutter!) I've just realised it's No 600 for me! - so it goes without saying how much I've gained from coming here! Keep up the good work! ps. It would be nice also if we could get the recording of Goldfish bugs sorted! - (Hint to Prolific! )

Originally posted by Edgar, Thanks for responding! - nice to know our comments are being read! - much appreciated! We are always here, just very quiet. Does this mean the fixes to SSA wide 0808 (M806.1.1.6) promised last October may see the light of day soon?
On the 3rd October 2002 Reichart emailed:-
We are very close to a full update with all these fixes made. |

Hi all,
How about a thread where we can post "Free Prgrams/ sofware" that are just fun to use or very helpful. Here's a few to start... I don't know if anyone is familiar with "Steve Gibson" but his site is a must visit, run , don't walk. Here's one of his free programs called the "Leak Test" Internet Connection Security for Windows Users HERE Also, CoolMonitor.CoolMon is a program for monitoring vital system stats and almost anything else you wish to display on the desktop Here And of course the "Google ToolBar" I use it many times a day. Here Also, "Spy Bot" It found stuff that "AD-aware missed and it's free! I still use Ad-aware along with Spybot. Here Have Fun, Deborah |
