SOUND CUTS OUT AFTER A MINUTE..HELP

I AM RUNNING MARINE AQUARIUM ON OS 10.2.6 ON MY 450 G-4, IT RUNS SMOOTH IN THE SCREENSAVER, AND WHEN IT COMES ON THERE IS THE BUBBLE WATER NOISE FOR ABOUT A MINUTE, THEN THE SOUND CUTS OFF. IS THIS NORMAL? I HAVE MESSED WITH ALL THE PREFERENCE SETTINGS I CAN AND I STILL CANT GET THE SOUND TO STAY ON. THIS HAPPENS WHEN I AM RUNNING THE APPLICATION ALSO. CANANYONE GIVE ME SOME SUGGESTIONS.

NO NEED TO SHOUT!

What version of which product (MA or MA Time) are you using? Can you provide us with any more details about your set-up?

When you say the sound "cuts off", do you mean it pauses for a second or two and then resumes, or does it stop entirely (never to return)?

We use QuickTime to play a sound segment in a loop for the bubbles (it's about a 7-9 second loop). Are you experiencing any other problems with QuickTime on your system?

Are you using the built-in speaker or external speakers? If external, how are they connected to your system (sound out jack, USB)?

I tried it with caps lock on and caps lock off, and the bubble sound still cuts out.

Actually, my bubble sound is fine....

Big Grin my sound cuts out too!

I am having the same problem; using a PowerMac G4, MA version, no other noticable problems with QT; Harman Kardon soundsticks plugged into USB port, 10.1.5 version of OS X. The bubble sound does one loop (about 7 secs) and then it goes silent, never to return. If I push B as an option, it returns for another 7 second loop. Help!! Thanks....

First, which MA version are you using? (MA 1.1.2, MA 2.0.4, MA Time 1.1.4, etc)

Second, can you try disconnecting the Soundsticks (external USB speakers) to see if there is any difference?

re: sound cutting out

well, I just purchased a key code a week and a half ago for the fishies, and when I pull up the info about them, it says Version 0.99.0, which isn't even an option you gave me, so now I'm confused. I went to the serenescreen website and looked at what it said for version 2.0 (which is what I clicked on when I ordered) and it says I should have an option for 26 fish but when I look at my options in my aquarium, I have 21 (one is the lionfish). Sorry if I am making things more confusing. As far as the sound sticks go, when I unplug them, the internal speakers do the same. I hear bubbles for the 7 secs, and then they go away, never to return. Thanks for your quick response!

Try downloading the latest version from the following URL:

http://download.serenescreen.com/dow...arium2_OSX.sit

When you Get Info on the application or screen saver (or select About Marine Aquarium), it should be version 2.0.4. Try it and let me know if you still have the same problem with the sound cutting out.

running on my computer, but now I do. Thank you SO MUCH for
your help! I can't wait to see what my cats do when I run the
screensaver!

Glad to be able to help. So does the problem with the sound no longer occur with the new version on your system?
