Lock ups with version 1.1 when hitting spacebar to register.
Hey serenescreeners...I'm having a major problem all the sudden. I have begun to experience wierd behaviour on my 98se system. I have all the latest drivers etc..run virus programs several times..none found. Installed and uninstalled and reinstalled version 1.1. Here's the deal. A couple of days ago..after a lockup nad reboot..I went to run the aquarium..running great up to that point..and when I started it....had the 1 yellow tang and registration box. I was already running the 1.1 registered version before all this. Anyway, I hit the spacebar to get to the registration screen to reregister...and the machine locks up tight...have to do a reboot. I ensured my virus programs etc were disabled during all my reinstalls. No luck, everytime I try and hit the spacebar to reregister..LOCK UP CITY! Totally bummed. Any help appreciated.
System: Intel P4 1.5ghz,Asus mobo. Visiontek extasy ti500 6964..latest nvidia drivers the 27.50's which worked great till a couple of days ago. Windows 98se 512mb rdram Sound Blaster extigy card I'm lost..any help appreciated. Thanks. Dave |

If it was running great before, something has interfered or corrupted the program. Probably the best thing for you to do at this point would be to uninstall the Screen Saver, run the registry cleaner from the help page and then just reinstall the program fresh. This should take care of the problem and get you back to solid ground again.

Try the 28.32 nVidia drivers at http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?PAGE=windows9x

Maybe when the lockup happened some important files got corrupted. You can try a system file restore using tweak UI or using a system recoverie disk if you have one. Only try that if what they said doesn't work.
