What new features will version 1 bring?
With version 1.0 of the GA about to be released what "new" features will make it a "must do" upgrade. What will be the selling price for those who did not buy into the beta series?
Will those with a beta get free updates to "all" upgrades to version 1 or are you planning to have add-in features similar to what Jim S has planned? It might make be an incentive to purchase the beta now if version 1 is "much" better and costs $$ more. Just curious....... |

1. Q: With version 1.0 of the GA about to be released what "new" features will make it a "must do" upgrade.
A: Well… More fish. Fish that do more interesting things (like feeding) More tanks, and plants, and objects. Toys (things that have bubbles). 2. Q: What will be the selling price for those who did not buy into the beta series? A: Version 1 will be $19.95. Some upgrades will be free, some will not. Just like real life. 3. Q: Will those with a beta get free updates to "all" upgrades to version 1 or are you planning to have add-in features similar to what Jim S has planned? A: Everyone that has purchased anything prior to version 1 can simply pick up version 1, and some incremental versions afterwards (like version 1.1, etc.) for free. 4. Q: It might make be an incentive to purchase the beta now if version 1 is "much" better and costs $$ more. A: Yes, it would. And if we were a big company with a marketing department and fancy plans, we would. But also, the product would be $89.95, and not about 20 bucks.

This is a Goldfish tank. It is not a icthyologist's wet dream the way Jim's Marine Aquarium is.
And the toys will be optional.

He's talking about future versions.
All of those things will take many months.

Toys! Toys!
Can't wait to see the treasure chest. Or one of the other classic cheesy goldfish bowl "ornaments" like a small castle or the deep-sea diver with bubbles coming out of his helmet (the visible airline adding to the (ha ha) realism). But all that would be icing on an already excellent cake. What a beautiful saver. The fish move like real fat, round goldfish, with elegantly sweeping tails. Watching for just a few minutes brings a welcome respite from the stresses of the day. I find it especially useful if I am waitng on "hold". And it's almost better than a real tank - I will never feel sorry for any of these fish. They always have bright, clean water and plenty of room to swim. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * |

Treasure chest with bubbles is reserved for Jim Sachs' Freshwater Aquarium.

Hehe, the fact that Germans pronounce "d" the same way as "t" when it's ending a word makes for some fun reading sometimes...

I started a new thread
Which I almost never do, but I like the idea of simply voting when coming in the door.

I do hope that 'sorry' isn't because of what we said IXNAY, - it is we who should be sorry for poking fun.- But it was meant in the nicest possible way. - I have stated on a number of occasions, my admiration for those of you, who are forced to cope with our language! ...... Hats off to you all! ...... Please, don't be sorry! ......

If you chose the loss of the loose moose mousse, you lose the right to choose?

IXNAY,
Your English is better than that used by most of the people who live in the US. Oh....and it's a heckofalot better than my German.
