Just wanted to share this with the group. Today, 22nd Feb 2003 at 5:06 PM PST, on http://www.zdnetindia.com/, SereneScreen is a featured download.

Glad to see it getting some recognition. I will have to keep looking back to see if any user opinions appear. I don't guess my filling one out and submiting it would be quite fair.

Yeah, IN INDIA!

During the first 6 months, ZDNet (America) carried the Aquarium and had a zillion downloads. The editor wrote to me to say it was a huge hit in their offices. Then they suddenly dropped it with no explanation. I think I was supposed to buy some advertising space.

It surprised me at first that SereneScreen/Prolific is still doing virtually no advertising. But Reichart assured me that this is a tried and true method to success. Make the product good enough that it sells itself (hey, it's working on TiVos despite the initial uphill battle to get someone to buy what they perceive as a $200 VCR with a monthly subscription to watch more TV when they're already a bit sensitive about the amount they already watch now!).
