Yes, just keep playing around with the Anamorphic Factor (the one under the "Monitor 1" box, not the one beside "Desktop"). You should easily be able to eliminate the black bars.

Setting it to 1.0 in widescreen will get rid of the black bars but it will be slightly stretch.

I guess I didn't word the question properly. 1680 X 1050 is already wide screen without having W/S checked...supposedly. But, there still appears to be one less fish (at least) if I don't check W/S and the fish are most definitely stretched if I use W/S at the standard A/F.
So what is the ideal anamorphic factor? 0.95? Looking at that setting with W/S checked looks just about right to me. The bars at top/bottom are minimal too.

Thanks for the ideas guys.

Without having widescreen checked, you are stretching a 1024x768 image to 1680x1050, which is quite a stretch horizontally. With Widescreen checked, you are stretching a 1280x1024 image to 1680x1024, which roughly maintains the proper aspect ratio. The "anamorphic factor" allows you to fine-tune the height if you want to fill the screen.

Note - some video cards don't do a very good job of interpolated stretching, and the background becomes rather blocky, or "pixelated" on high-res monitors. If this happens, setting the display resolution to the Aquarium's native resolution of 1280x768 smooths out the background, but at a slight cost to the clarity of the fish.

Thanks for that info. Everything seems to be fine now. No pixelation or other issues.

Hello there,

First I apologise because my english isn't terrific and I don't know if the post is in the right place.

I'm new here and live in France and I just bought a marine aquarium 2.6 online. But I didn't get my keycode. Could someone help please. I sent 2 e-mails to Serenescreen but no answer.

Thanks you

I tried it with mine and got an immediate response. Perhaps check your webmail at your ISP website?

jeanolapin - Send me a Private Message with your order information, and I'll make sure it gets to Prolific. It sounds like there is something wrong with your email.
