Screen goes black when i hit preview...?
Hello everyone,
I want to apologize if this post's twice. I noticed after i attempted to post it the first time, it didnt come up in the forum. My problem is after installing the serene screen marine aquarium screensaver and i hit the preview button the screen goes black. The computer doesnt freeze up or anything, it just goes black. Can anyone assist? Also, does anyone know any sites where i can download additional backgrounds (i.e. tanks) for this screensaver? Dell Laptop 1545 Inspiron OS: Windows XP SP2 Ram: 3GB Dual |

To start with welcome to the forum. If you read the joining info when you registered it tells you that no post will be shown to the forum until your account is personally approved.
As to the black screen it may be because you are using a laptop and the custom drivers that Dell issues for their laptops may not like the 3D rendering involved with the aquarium. Which is why Jim offers a free download for testing before purchase. You can try starting it from an icon if you installed it to show one on your desktop and let us know what happens then. If it still goes black you probably have a 3D driver conflict which may or may not be resolved by installing new drivers from Dell. You must install drivers only from Dell unless you are used to hacking drivers. As to the background question, there are none. You cannot replace the background with anything else as then the screensaver would not work.
