Starfish On Glass

I have Marine Aquarium v.1.1.2 on a Windows system. When I first installed it the star fish "glung to the glass, which I thought was cool. But for the past few days, it just stays on the sand and doesn't move. HOw do I get it to cling to the glass again?

You have to turn around twice, click your hills, crow like a rooster, and then sprinkle some pixie dust on it.

The alternative is to turn the foreground lights all the way down and wait him out. He will only go on the glass in complete darkness.

MAke sure the option to allow him on the glass is set correctly, also.

I am curious why you never upgraded to MA 2.0?

5 new fish, a brand new control panel, and much less demanding on your CPU & Video Card.

Thanks to everyone for the replies. I found out that the starfish does move around, didn't know it was related to the dark.
I have this version because it was in a bargain bin at Best Buy.
I'll buy version 2.0 when it's in there too.

The upgrade from the boxed 1.0 version to 2.0 was free until June 17th and will be $5 in the near future.

You can alternatively use mountainmasters utility to place your startfish on the glass without having to adjust the lightin...

I tried the clicking my heels bit and all it got me was funny looks from Autrey. Wanted to know if I needed to go to the bath-room!

mine is on the glass more often than i thought. it's all random. wish there was a way to control the light changes. i'd like to chose when it gets dark and how long it stays light.

can't be around pixie dust. an affair with tinkerbell ended badly years ago. all very painful memories. choking up with emotion, must end.

so i can trick the starchild into gluing himself the glass by manipulating the lights, huh? i'll give it a try.

What lights?

I've left the lights on and mine climbs up the glass. Never had to turn the lights off.

If you have your lights set on automatic they do go dark at times and he goes up the glass then. As far as I know, Jim never changed the programming to allow the starfish to go directly up the glass in the lights because of difficulties with the lighting and shadows.

You do realize that we mean the Aquarium lights, not the lights in the room.

The jumping was Jim's solution at the time because of lighting and shadow problems in efforts of trying to get it to normally transition up the front glass. The answer was to have the lights down and let him transition then. If the lights are down then the actual "transition" is a moot point of how he gets there so a quick jump is as good as any.
