Cool lock mac key board ????

My cats, Like most people who have them,
love the screen saver as much as myself.
The problem is they allways step on the keyboard and stop the screen saver.
Does anyone know how to lock and of course unlock the keyboard?

How would you like a keyboard lock to work?

Exclamation rely to key board lock

It would be nice to just hit one key
(example. F1) to lock;
and one key (example. F2) to unlock.
similar to a cell phone.

If anyone has any ideas how to do this on a mac?

I know there's something with apple scripts that might work but I have no idea how to write scripts.

Are Mac Keyboards available in USB?

Couldn't you just yank the cord form a conveniently located hub?

All mac keyboards made in the last 5 years are USB but I think yanking them would wake up the screensaver! Also powerbook users can't yank them! However the OSX screensaver has a lock function built in... you just have to check the box in the preference pane to have it require a password. If you are still using OS9 you REALLY need to upgrade!

Unfortunately, Quark and Strata3D--among other vital Mac programs--still refuse to run smoothly on OS X.

I'll put it into the feature request list for future versions.

Ditto for Mouse Lock

I often accidentally nudge the desk or kick the mouse cord, thus waking the screensaver, which is kinda annoying.

Since I use the SSA on a PC, I'm not 100% sure this option is available in the Mac version, but I always have the "Exit on Mouse move" box unchecked in the settings panel. This way there are only a handful of keys that stop the SSA if pressed. Do the same as it would at least better your odds a bit

Thanks to Morgan, Tiny Snapshots is up and running again with "Tiny Järvafält" as the latest addition – Go have a look and tell me what you think.
