Ubuntu?
I installed Ubuntu on my parent's computer and they Serene Screen. I would be willing to purchase it, if it runs in Wine. Did you ever find out if it runs with Wine or CrossOver?

You should feel welcome to download Marine Aquarium 3 from SereneScreen.com and test it on WINE. The trial version you download is the same as the full version.

Ubuntu
My friend tried it and wrote:
I tried serene screen. It won't work in 64 bit ubuntu at the moment. I will have to try tweaking my wine install to get it to work. There is a known 64 bit wine issue with this. I suspect it would work in 32 bit Ubuntu with wine. I will have to experiment to see if this is so. The one that does work well is Dream Aquarium. No joy. I tried Serene screen in 32 bit 10.04 and it will not run. I also just tried Dream aquarium in 32 bit 10.04 and that version of wine can't install dream aquarium without errors. The newer version of wine in 12.04 installs and runs dream aquarium perfectly. I could attempt to install a newer wine version in 10.04 then the one from the repositories. |
