Post WinXP users shareware utility

A cool desktop shareware utility for winxp/2000 users can be downloaded here : (http://www.3danimatedwallpaper.com/) I am able to run the xp plus edition of Sach's aquarium as a wallpaper without memory loss!

Trying it out so far I like it. Just curious, does anyone know why it won't run the full version of serene screen.

Looks like it requires DirectX8 or above.

It also requires enabling Active Desktop. bleh

Well......I found that only those preview-able screensaver can be set as wall paper by this utility.
Both VR Aquarium and 3 Fish XP Plus! version can be preview in normal screensaver setup panel, thus those two can be set as wallpaper by this utility....
but the Full version of SSA doen't have any ability to preview, so it won't work with this one.....

may be Jim could make it prewiew-able in furture version so we can use it with this nice "huge" utility...:P

James, you don't know Jim's opinion about running the ss as wallpaper with icons and other stuff in front of it. I think he will never support such things. I say you don't need any other things when the ss is running - sit back and relax!

Y T, Mr. Sachs opinions were, if I remember correctly, not totally against a desktop wallpaper, but I could be wrong. The screen dumps posted earlier showed our beloved SS with a bunch of bloated DirectX objects in front of it and the result was downright ugly...
Thanks to Morgan, Tiny Snapshots is up and running again with "Tiny Järvafält" as the latest addition – Go have a look and tell me what you think.

I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita. Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says,
'Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.'
I suppose we all thought that, one way or another.

don't worry, I've already know what's Jim's opinion long ago when I post the similar topic about runningSSa as wallpaper, very closely that Morgan was gonna close my thread that time.....haha

well, the ugly or beautiful is very subjective opinion from everyone,

but as we r customers, we should respect aouther's opinion..

I can't stop anyone from starting an underground Aquarium forum, I just know that Jim doesn't want this type of modification, as beneficial as it might be, discussed here.

"Artistic Integrity" and "Tech Support for unsupported 'features'" are Jim's red flags.

Sorry Feldon, I had no intentions or suggestions of modifying Jim's masterpiece. I was just presenting an option.

Not on this forum, sorry.

It creates tech support issues. No doubt there will be dozens of e-mails to the SereneScreen staff "I saw this guy on the Sachs forum who got the Aquarium to work as a desktop. Dur, how do I get that to work?"
