Smile Interesting Links

I was just randomly surfing the net when I happened to find these links and thought some of you might find them interesting. One is a few years old, but it's a cool story none the less. It tells how Mitsubishi plans (planned?) on making a virtual aquarium using robotic prehistoric fish and they've already made a Coelacanth. The other link is very small tutorial on making 3D photorealistic fish. I know that a lot of you wonder how Jim makes his fish, this tutorial may or may not mirror some of his methods, but at least it gives you an idea of how something similar is made.

The digitalproducer article is fairly close to the way I create the fish, but if you use curves or NURBS as they did, your 3D model will have about 100 times too many polygons to be practical in a real-time program.
