Take a trip over to Morgan's Help page and download the registry cleaner. Run it from your desktop and restart the Aquarium (You'll have to enter your key code again). That should bring your little escapee back on track...

Follow Tiny Turtle's instructions, and after you reinstall, leave the "Starfish allowed on Glass" box checked untill further notice. Jim is tracking this bug as we speak. Any progress Jim?

Actually the Registry Cleaner is overkill, to avoid having to re-enter your key data and fish selections, you only need to go in a delete the data in the key associated with the Starfish Position "StarFishPos" located at

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SereneScreen\SereneAqua rium

The following works on a Win2K System

Create a text file named Star.reg

Add the following to it >>>>>

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SereneScreen\SereneAqua rium]

"StarFishPos"=hex:00

<<<<< Save it then double click on the file itself to import (or right click on it and select merge)

Moderator Edit:
Or better yet, just click here!

I'll stick with just leaving the "Allow starfish on Glass" box checked for now. I have no idea what you just said, SonOfFlubber.

I sent in the fix last Thursday, and Prolific has had the Beta testers looking at the fixed version for the last few days, based on the theory that whenever you fix something, it breaks something else.

SereneScreen Aquarium Starfish Restorer If your Starfish has disappeared, please run the SereneScreen Aquarium Registry cleaner. This script resets the Starfish to its home position.

https://www.feldoncentral.com/Sachs/restoreStarfish.reg

Internet Explorer: Click the link above, choose 'Open this file...' and click 'Yes' after each prompt. Run the Aquarium again and the Starfish should be reset to its home position. If you continue to have problems, please post them here.

Netscape/Opera: Click the link above and save the file to a convenient spot on your hard drive. Now go to that spot and run the Starfish Restorer script restoreStarfish.reg. Click 'Yes' after each prompt. Run the Aquarium again and the Starfish should be reset to its home position. If you continue to have problems, please post them here.

smg9779,

Please go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall the Aquarium. Then reboot your computer.

Then please download 1.1.2 from the website (updated on Wednesday):
